VINTAGE KRAFT SAFE DRIVER ONE YEAR AWARD PINBACK LAPEL PIN - GILT METAL & ENAMEL

Description

This attractive pinback lapel pin recently was purchased at a local estate sale where it was said to date to the 1950s; however, this has not been confirmed.  At stated on the front of the pin, this item is a Kraft Safe Driver One Year Award, and it remains in its original box.  The design includes gilt metal (non-magnetic) and enamel (red, white, navy blue), and the result is a very attractive item.  There is no hallmark on the rear for either manufacturer or metal content.  There is a hinged attachment pin with locking catch.
The diameter is approximately 20 mm (3/4").
This pin is in very good to fine condition, with no actual wear, with very light signs of handling.  The enamel appears to be free of chips, cracks, etc.  The gilt metal and the enamel are very bright, and the gilt metal has a nice light gold color.  The hinged attachment pin and locking catch work well.  The box is in very good condition.
