vintage 1960's Japanese dynamic microphone, LAFAYETTE model 99-45
. This brand is one of many produced within the CALRAD family, where both quality and design aesthetics made them such a popular brand in the mid 1900's. This one is all original, in
exceptional physical shape
with no obvious signs of wear or aging. Testing produces a
hot signal with clean fidelity
favoring the mid-range frequencies. The internals are nice and tight (no rattling), and
includes a new short cable
, screw-on connector on the mic side and 1/4" male phono plug on the opposing end. (Of you prefer an XLR plug, we can do that.) The frontal on-off switch works perfectly with a nice sharp maker's switch plate.
Also included is a heavy-based adjustable-height desk stand
, overall height is 13-17".
