    Description

    Offering a
vintage 1950's ASTATIC Model T-3 Microphone, working with cable, stand and box
. This "Silver Bullet" design was a popular design for this American Company, which produced a variety of commercial audio products going back to the 1930's. Their real boom came with the CB craze with their wildly popular D104 microphone.
These Astatic T-3 models originally came with a crystal element, but those were very susceptible to moisture and heat, and if dropped, forget about it! That's why you hardly ever see a vintage Astatic with the original working cartridge, as was the case with this one, so
we have installed a new moving coil dynamic element.
It has a very similar audio profile to the crystal, but is a lot less delicate, pumping out a mid-rangy tone that'll rattle your eardrums, especially responsive for blues harp, in fact becoming one of the most sought-after mics for the harp. The chromed mic head is in good shape as you can see, and threads to the proprietary F-11 adapter that will allow it to be used with a desk or floor stand. A
new shielded 3 foot cable is hardwired
with a 1/4" male phono plug and
includes an adjustable height desk stand
. (If you don't need the desk stand we can knock off 10 bucks.)
Also includes the Astatic retail box
    .
