    Description

    Offering this impressive looking
classic 1940's style ring spring microphone
that you can actually use with today's gear. It's an original
    ASTATIC D104
    microphone, ring mounted and
spring supported within a large 8"
    adjustable (
    tilting
    )
    ring that is
compatible with any modern amplifier or mixer.
    The Astatic head is in
    near
    perfect condition
with no wear or pitting on its chromed casing.
These Astatic heads were originally outfitted with thin sounding salt crystal elements that seldom lasted through the decades, but this one has been upgraded with a new working moving coil dynamic element producing
improved audio quality with lots of output
, but still retaining the vintage audio profile of that bygone era, favoring mid-range with low-end roll-off.
A short cable has been hardwired with a male 1/4"
plug. (We can swap for an XLR plug if you prefer at no cost.)
The microphone ring is threaded to the
    included deco-style aluminum desk stand
. Total height is 17, with the base at 6" diameter. The mic ring can also be removed and threaded onto any floor stand or overhead boom.
