    Description

For sale is the Boss KM-60 Mixer my dad had in his first recording studio back in the early 80s. It is in what I would consider overall good shape for its age but does have some minor cosmetic wear as can be seen in the pictures and does produce some static as certain knobs are turned although this decreases as it warms up and is used. This static is pretty common in equipment this old as it is caused by particle build up in the knobs and should be fully fixable by cleaning the knobs with electric contact cleaning solution. Though it sat in storage for years after being taken out of the studio, it has been cleaned on the outside and tested with a guitar, bass, and analog synth, and it was able to mix each with no issues. The VU meters are also responding as they should when the volume is increased, and the attached rack ears are included for easy mounting.
The mixer features 6 separate channels which can be used to pan, add/subtract treble and bass, change volume, as well as add effects. It would be a great addition to any retro analog home studio setup or could be used for commercial recording like my dad used it for. Although it is expensive due to its rarity (this one is currently the only one I have been able to find for sale online within the US) it is still cheaper than many of the alternatives from the time period. If I did not need the money, I would certainly be keeping this for my own recording adventures but today my loss is your gain. As I am needing to pay my bills, I will not be accepting returns on this unless the mixer does not arrive as described in which case we will obviously work out a solution. Feel free to send me any questions you may have and good luck bidding!
