the 1940 Fords centered on quiet, comfort, and the roominess of four additional inches of leg room; also, sealed beam headlights were a new standard safety feature for the 40's. Tis Ford half ton tanker was a rugged and durable vehicle; pickups and tankers featured an entire face-lifting; a deluxe grille combined a center section with horizontal bars, and secondary side grids whose bars were sub-divided into three sections by thicker molding.
