vintage 1960's era ASTATIC M350 Dynamic Microphone
, working with tripod stand and cable. This petite mic has to be one of the most radical designs ever from the historical Youngstown Ohio company...looks like it's ready to blast off! It's vertical stance and 360 degree perforated pickup grill allows for a narrow pickup pattern from any position in the room. Even though its
original pickup element is intact and in good working order
, that narrow grill design requires extra amplification to be effective. These came in both a stainless steel or black enamel casing...this one is the latter. The
physical condition is quite good
, some mild nicks indicating signs of use and mild wear. The Astatic badge is intact and sharp. The mic head plugs into the proprietary Astatic F-11 adapter allowing the mic to thread onto any desk stand, and is hardwired to a short cable with 3 pin male XLR plug. (We can wire it to a 1/4" phono plug if you prefer.) The tripod
desk stand is also included
..it would also make a rad harp mic.
